Believing for a Reason is (at Least) Nearly Self-Intimating

Abstract This paper concerns a specific epistemic feature of believing for reason (e.g., that it will rain on the basis grey clouds outside). It has commonly been assumed our access to such facts about ourselves is akin in all relevant respects why other people hold their beliefs. Further, discussion self-intimation—that we are necessarily position know when certain conditions—has centred largely around mental states. In contrast both assumptions, this argues (at least) very nearly self-intimating: necessarily, if subject believes q p, then, provided conceptual and rational capacities, she form justified true belief p . We should think role plays from subjects’ perspective, particular, way which intellegises one’s belief.
